Maggie O’Brien’s was named in honor of the original owner (Harry Belli’s) grandmother Maggie O’Brien. Maggie is pictured in the oval frame on the wall next to the entrance. Maggie’s has been a downtown St. Louis institution since 1979 and is the longest running Irish pub and tavern in the city. If you’re from St. Louis you likely have a Maggie O’Brien’s story. Maggie’s is owned and operated by St. Louis native, Eddie McVey.
